CIEE, Monteverde.

COSTARICA.LEAVES (1 of 10)

After two weeks out in the field, students have gathered all of their data from the rain forest, whether it be a specific type of fern or rain water, the experiments have been conducted, but now it's time to analyze and figure out what it all means! The students in Monteverde, Costa Rica are in crunch mode, trying to finish their information and papers before their public symposium where they'll share everything they've learned!!

Analyzing data in the study center, students are working around the clock right now to finish last minute work! All the students are completely invested in the program, the study center environment is inspirational with it's large windows that open to the cloud forest!

I am a painter, collage artist, and travel photographer. I've always been interested in learning about far lands and different cultures, I vividly remember flipping through my Grandmother's coffee table book that featured photos of children around the world - sparking my interest to explore and embrace adventure. I read travel magazines religiously and love seeing the world through my camera.

Born and raised in Detroit, I studied at the University of Michigan, spending my free time photographing for the Michigan Daily Newspaper and traveling to East Africa during the summers to document public health issues. I spent the academic year living in Malaga, Spain on the CIEE Teach Abroad program where I enjoyed jamon, beautiful beaches, and the laid back Spanish culture. With this summer internship, CIEE is opening a world of dreams, the beginning to an unforgettable journey!
